We had a great Valentine’s Day 🙂 We started the day with a delicious pancake breakfast, prepared for us by Lexi. Lexi really has taken the initiative on breakfast over the last few weeks….to our surprise and our benefit! She really is taking great pride in mixing up a batch of pancakes for us all to enjoy and has the recipe down pat, she even adds in her signature cinnamon spice to the batter, YUM! After our delicious pancake breakfast, the kid’s gave us their weekly report. The topic’s for this week’s reports were based upon the travel we have planned for the next 4 weeks. We are going to be taking a 2 week cruise on Holland America & then 1 week cruises with Royal Caribbean & Carnival which will allow us to visit many of the islands throughout the northern and southern Caribbean. We wanted to be able to explore as many as we can but flying to each of the islands was not making sense for us. So this will be quite an adventure for us as we have only taken one other cruise during our world traveling, which was our cruise from Sydney Australia to explore the south and north islands of New Zealand. On that note, the reports that our children do every week are based on topics that we are either discussing in science or relate to the history or culture or the area that we are currently traveling. The kids work all week on their report on researching and learning about the topic. This week’s reports were actually on the cruise ships we will be traveling on and on the areas of the Caribbean we will be traveling to. The kid’s gave us great reports and since it was Valentine’s Day….we surprised the kids with a trip to the Outlet 66 mall here in Puerto Rico! This mall houses the largest indoor ropes course & k1 electric go kart race track in the Caribbean ?? We spent the day enjoying the activities and the kids enjoyed some friendly competition! ?
