Aboriginal Demonstration

While we were at the Currumbin wildlife sanctuary we were very lucky to be able to see an Aboriginal ceremony demonstration of the didgeridoo. The didgeridoo is a wind instrument made by the northern Australian Aboriginal people out of bamboo that has been hollowed out by termites. It is only played by males & is used in the Aboriginal culture for ceremony, dancing & storytelling. The rhythms & patterns performed by the diggeridoo musician have been handed down through generations.
