Currumbin wildlife reserve was such a treat to see. Their wildlife hospital treats about 11,000 injured Australian native animals a year & then they are released back to their natural habitat after they recover. The free flight bird show was very informative & amazing to watch. 2x a day there is a lorikeet feeding that the native wild lorikeets come for from miles around the sanctuary. Lexi & Sebastian really enjoyed being able to feed the adult kangaroos ?as well as seeing the koalas feeding on fresh eucalyptus leaves. The koala nursery was one of the most adorable things we have witnessed with the momma koalas & their babies clinging to them as they climb & eat. ?
