Happy 12th birthday to our Sebastian Leo with the big blue eyes & matching big smile!!!! You amaze us every day with how much you are growing & learning & the compassionate human being you have become. You are such a loving & caring son & little & big brother to your siblings. ❤️ We loved celebrating with you yesterday with a fun scooter ride around the island, a donut cake ? & a fire show to top it all off! We look forward to all the continued traveling & adventures that are in store. We love you Sebastian with all of our hearts ❤️❤️??
Sebastian’s big day started with a surprise scooter rental. We explored the island and the nearby Fisherman’s village riding on a fast, little red scooter. We have a rental car but the scooter was a fun little change of pace and we got to experience transportation on the daring side like so many of the locals here do. Riding on the small, narrow roads in Koh Samui feels like freedom & a little bit like reckless abandon. There are very little rules except the main one which is to follow the signs, look out for yourself and others and do not crash!! Sebastian said it was so much fun. We have been traveling now for 10 months and carrying only that which we can carry ourselves and nothing more is now second nature to us all. This was quite apparent in Sebastian’s requests for his birthday this year. He asked for some new shorts and t shirt because his other one had a small hole & needed replacing (quite a sensible request!) and his other request was for some wireless headphones (also a very smart & sensible request from a world traveler!) The only other request he had were in relation to food….a donut cake and homemade re-fried bean & cheese burritos! We had fun creating the donut cake and obliging his other requests. We ended the special day with a trip to the night market in Fisherman’s village and with a spectacular Fire Show at Coco Tam’s on Bophut Beach.
