KL Bird Park Aviary

/

For our last outing before we left Kuala Lumpur Malaysia we visited the KL bird park. It was great to see. It is in the middle of klcc center & comprises 20+ acres. It has one of the worldโ€™s largest covered or netted bird parks. Some 3000 species of birds live here with 90% of them being local birds to Malaysia & the other 10% imported from neighboring countries like Indonesia & Thailand as well other countries like China, Tanzania, New Guinea, Australia & Holland. We got to see so many birds & even got to witness the peacock doing his monsoon mating dance for a prospective mate ?? very cool that we saw how they strut & fluff their feathers to make them dance…the feathers vibrate so fast (25x a second that you can hear them vibrating) kids thought that was cool. We tried to see the bird show but it was untimely interrupted by an early midday monsoon cloud burst & had to be cancelled. We had a great day exploring & learning about birds & Lexi finished the tour of the park with a parrot encounter. She was in her element ???
