One of our last hikes through the Koh Samui tropical jungle trying to find the Tan Rua waterfall, located in Ban Mae Nam. Unfortunately the elusive waterfall was a just trickle even though it is the “rainy” season here. To sooth our disappointment in this, we decided to treat ourselves to some snacks at the Tree Bridge Cafe which quite gracefully hangs in the canopy of the trees & is accessed across a suspended rope bridge. The view and atmosphere here reminds oneself to enjoy the moment and just be. After enjoying a wonderfully delicious & satisfying pit stop & fresh fruit shakes for the kids, on the way down the drive we got to see that much of the Durian fruit on the island is harvested from within this jungle, as we followed a Durian transport truck down the steep road into town.?
